Parents………of Teens and Pre-Teens?
What is YOUR Personal Policy regarding your kids listening to music while doing Homework…I don’t mean Classical that I know can actually help them think….I’m talking about Middle-of -the road-Rap and R&B…(50 cent,Usher,Nellie etc…) Do you have a Set Policy in your home? My kids are 12..14 and 17 and they all want to listen to either their Sound System or their ipod while doing Homework…Your Thoughts?

I don’t see anything wrong with it as long as it’s not distracting them or taking away from the quality of the work. I, personally, can’t have music on if I am studying (back in the grad school days…ah, memories!) — I get too distracted. But that’s just me. Go ahead and let ‘em listen! If their grades slip, that would be (for me), the first thing to go.
